Excerpt from Eric’s reply to client inquiry about Plantar Fasciitis (underside of foot)  pain:

I know that foot pain can be very debilitating.
The real solution for foot pain is to shift your view to see the foot pain as the boiling over of the bigger tension patterns of the body.
The path I recommend is for you to address the entire system, focus on the big picture tension patterns.
The goal is to change how the feet are being overloaded. That requires a zoomed out view.

Torso rooted tensions are mostly hidden from us. They’re automatic. They drive the problem.
Stress response tensions are well practiced and they are mostly symmetrical. The torso tensions create a cataclysmic overloading of the underside of the feet. It’s imperative to come out of the tensions of stress that are hidden in the body.

If there is a difference, an asymmetry in the discomfort, of your feet, that points to asymmetrical expressions in the entire tension system. It’s expressing as asymmetrical foot pain. That asymmetry has to be addressed and de-esclated to solve the problem.
Often, issues of systemic Rotation/Twist are powerfully expressed into the feet and toes. Even a subtle persistent twist of the torso will show up in the feet.

Look at the root causes which are mostly hidden from the awareness. Address the root tension holdings.
It is possible to teach your nervous system out of the habit of how it runs your tension.

  • When I left you – I had no heal pain and no back pain, no shin pain and hands were not burning. As I went about getting ready for bed I still had no heal pain. In fact what I had was the pleasure of feeling my feet and my calves, not screaming at me – but relaxing as I moved.

Patient with chronic headaches and knee pain.
